Piazza della Libertà

Piazza Libertà Square is one of the most important square of Florence and also one of the principal square in the heart of the Florentine city. The Piazza Libertà Square had been planned and successively realized during the ninetieth century. After 1865 the Piazza Libertà square had been destroyed and successively rebuilt with another design which had been modify totally by Giuseppe Poggi. The designer Giuseppe Poggi built the square that today we all can see, surrounded by huge and beautiful buildings with a classic Florentine style structures. In the middle of Piazza Libertà Square there is a beautiful and peaceful garden with the suggestive view of the “Porta ” and the “Arco di Trionfo”, softly hide by a little fountain. Piazza Libertà Square is one of the most ideal square of Florence where to spend some time in a beautiful open green space. While, at the north side of Piazza Libertà Square there is a typical French garden: the “Parterre” which had been commissioned by the Grand Duchy Leopoldo during the Eighteenth century period. Piazza Libertà Square is also a place very appreciate by families who have children.
