The Giotto's Bell Tower

 "The Giotto’s bell tower is one of the most famous work of art Florentine Gothic style designed by Giotto. It stands on the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in front of the Baptistery of St. John where you can see the big Piazza del Duomo  in Florence . This marvelous construction attracts the eyes of millions of tourist that come from all over the world appositely to visit this magnificent piece of art.
Giotto thanks to this particular building has become one of the founding fathers of Renaissance architecture in Italy. Then the works has gave to Andrea Pisani, a famous Italian artist. He had built the South Doors of the Baptistery. So Andrea Pisani continued the construction of the bell tower following the design of Giotto. But during the work he permitted to add another level, where he thought to decorate it with lozenge-shaped panels. Another two levels were built, where now you can see the four niches. The piece of art finished in 1348.
