The House of Dante
Dante Alighieri was burn in Florence during the XIth century and died in the 14th September 1321 in Ravenna.
Dante Alighieri was the poet and the “Father” of the Italian language. So for this reason he was definite the biggest poet of Italy. Dante Alighieri other then was the first important poet in Italy, he also was a famous writer and Italian politic.
His life was afflicted by numerous dramatic events and he died when he was exiled from his hometown: Florence.
Dante Alighieri during his exile was housed from numerous families which lived in the central-northern of Italy.
During the fourteenth century, with the help of Forlì Sir, Dante Alighieri arranged a new tentative to reentry in the hometown, but the result was negative.
The Dante’s House today is one of the most visit museum of Florence. Tourists that come from all over the world appreciate this palace very much. The Dante’s House is collocated in one of the most antique zone of historical centre of Florence, precisely in Via Santa Margherita. This street is very famous for two reasons: in one side it is famous because the history tell us that in this place Dante Alighieri met his first love: Beatrice Portinari, and the other side it is famous because nearby this street there is the Church of Santa Margherita dei Cerchi.
